Based on a recent meeting held in Pantelleria, Italy concerning the theory of associative and non-associative algebras satisfying polynomial identities, this collection of 18 papers presents recent results in the theory of polynomial identities and techniques pertaining to algebraic combinatorics, invariant theory, representation theory, symmetric and classical groups, Lie algebras, and superalgebras. Topics include combinatorial properties of free algebras of Schreier varieties, graded algebras and graded identities, Poincare series of generic matrices, pebbles and expansions in the polynomial ring, and varieties of linear algebras with almost polynomial growth.
