The purpose of this book (Volume I and Volume II) is to study computer-oriented numerical algorithms for solving various types of mathematical problems. An attempt has been made to provide a judicious mixture of mathematics, numerical analysis, and computation. It is intended that the reader should not only acquire a working knowledge of practical techniques for solving real problems, but that he should also be prepared for deeper studies of particular topics at the graduate level.
