The present volume contains the Proceedings of the International Conference on the Mathematical Problems in Theoretical Physics held at the University of Rome from 6 to 15 June 1977. This Conference continued the tradition of the Moscow 1972 and Kyoto 1975 Conferences. All the Conferences in this serie have been sponsored by the International Mathematical Union.
