During the recent years, a number of significant advances have been made in the theory of representations of algebras. Therefore, a meeting reflecting these advances and exploring the relationship among the results in this area was desirable. Such a meeting, the International Conference on Representations of Algebras was held at Carleton University, Ottawa, on September 3-7, 1974.
