It is our policy as Editors to make the International Statistical Review of broad interest to members of the ISI and its Sections, and more generally to anyone involved or interested in statistics. As part of this process, we are pleased to devote a large portion of this issue to a collection of papers on statistical education. This follows an earlier issue on the theme, "Statistics in Industry". We would particularly like to thank David Moore who was the Editor for this set of papers.
The International Association of Statistical Education is the newest Section of the ISI. However, its activities should be of interest to all readers. We would particularly like to encourage authors to think of the International Statistical Review when preparing papers on statistical education.
We hope that there will be further issues or part issues devoted to a collection of papers devoted to a particular theme. We encourage anyone who has suggestions on possible future themes to contact us.
