The models P-47B, P-47C, P-47D, and P-47G are low-wing, singleplace, all metal monoplanes, each powered with a 2000-horsepower Pratt & Whitney radial engine. The P-47B, P-47C, and P-47D airplanes are manufactured by the Republic Aviation Corporation at Farmingdale, Long Island, New York, and at Evansville, Indiana. The P-47G airplanes are manufactured by the Curtiss-Wright Corporation at Buffalo, New York. The engine drives a four-bladed propeller. Hydraulically operated landing gear, wing flaps, tail wheel, and brakes are provided.
