The aim of this series is to present invited authoratlve articles by scientists in the general field of anodic behavior of materials. The topics of interest will thus be such as all aspects of anodic oxide films, corrosion reaction films in general, anodic dissolution of metals together with the related areas such as electropolishing and electrochemical machining, anodic oxidation of organic compounds, both from synthetic and
electrode kinetic points of view, anodic gas evolution reactions and a variety of related areas as well as their industrial ramifications. The anodic behavior of metals and non-metals in solid state electrolytes and in ionic liquids as well would thus merit inclusion in this series also.
