This book deals with the mechanical modeling and solving methods for calculating linear vibrations of complex structure when couple with acoustic fluids, in both the low-and the medium-frequency ranges. Complex structures are considered, allowing the researcher to apply the material directly to practical vibration problems; these include acoustic pollution and acoustic loads in different areas, such as spacecraft, aircraft, automobiles, and naval structures.

Advanced mechanical and numerical models are used throughout, and original solutions to the prediction of linear vibrations of complex structures interacting with internal and external fluids, both liquid and gaseous, are given. The formulations presented are directly applicable for developing computer codes for the numerical simulation of complex structural-acoustics systems.

Structural Acoustics and Vibration will prove invaluable to both postgraduate and postdoctoral students in Applied, Computational and Structural Mechanics. The book is also essential reading for researchers in Structural Dynamics and Acoustics, and professionals working within the aerospace and automobile industry, as well as in the fields of Naval and Civil Engineering.
