In the book the fundamental concepts of hydrodynamics as part of theoretical physics are considered. The connection of macroscopic approach to description of properties of fluid motion and microscopic kinetic theory is demonstrated. The basic material concerning recent investigations in instabilities and turbulence theory is presented briefly.
