This volume consists of lecture notes and selected contributed papers presented at the International Summer School on New Developments in Semiconductor Physics held at the University of Szeged, July 1-6, 1979. The major part of the contributions in this volume is related to the new experimental technics and theoretical ideas applied in research of new semiconductor materials, mostly III-V semiconductors.
