Название: Agglomeration in Industry: Occurence and Applications, Vol. 1
Автор: Pietsch W.
Аннотация:
This two-volume work, along with Agglomeration processes—phenomena, technologies, equipment (Wiley: 2002), provides a full overview of the field. Early chapters briefly describe the fundamentals; the remaining text describes the occurrence of agglomeration in industry, industrial applications of size enlargement by agglomeration, and other uses of particle adhesion. The industries for which applications are described include pharmaceutical, chemical, food, animal feeds, fertilizers and agrochemicals, building materials and ceramics, mining, metallurgical, solid fuels, and powder metallurgy. Chapters are provided on applications in environmental control, including recycling of polymers, recycling of secondary raw materials, and size enlargement for the stabilization and disposal of particulate solid wastes. Applications are also described for industrial development, troubleshooting and optimization, and for single particles and nanotechnology. An exhaustive bibliography and list of vendors are included. Pietsch has been a specialist in mechanical process technology in industry since writing his dissertation at the Technical U. of Karlsruhe (Germany) in 1965
