Twenty-two sociologists and anthropologists contributed to this study of the newly emerging aquaculture industry, focusing on the social and environmental aspects of cultivating fish and aquatic organisms in industrialized and nonindustrialized nations, specifically: Norway, Novia Scotia, Scotland, Florida, Alabama, Mexico, Indonesia, and Africa.
