...The British National Formulary (or BNF for short) is THE Bible for doctors, nurses and pharmacists when dealing with drugs. It doesn't look the most exciting of books when you flick through it, but it has the infromation in it that could literally save somebdy's life. They say that one shouldn't give a drug to a patient unless you know what it; what the correct dose is, and what the side effects are - and this is where the BNF comes in. It provides information on drugs from the most simple of all such as Paracetamol, to the more advanced ones that may be used in traeting an individual who has got cancer or a heart condition.
