DNA miroarrays are relatively new, powerful tool, which allows for the large-scale analysis of DNA samples. A DNA microarray is a miniaturized hybridization format consisting of an ordered array of hundreds to thousands of DNA probes immobilized on glass slides. Applications of DNA microarrays include gene expression studies and detection of small differences between DNA molecules.
