A new plotter for hard copy colour display of digital computer outputs has
been developed. The plotter uses three intensity modulated ink jets with the
colours red, yellow and blue, which plot the information on a normal A 4 paper
(210 × 297 mm) fastened to a rotating drum. The ink jets are individually controlled
from a magnetic tape unit which is loaded with a tape prepared by the
computer. The total plotting time is 85 seconds independent of the complexity
of the picture t~ be plotted. The total information contents plotted in one 85
second run is bits.
