The present volume, which forms a sequel to two earlier collections of essays,1 contains a number of articles written by Niels Bohr during the last five years of his life. The plans for the appearance of the present collection were made by my father some time ago, and the publication was awaiting only the final completion of the article Light and Life Revisited. The volume is now being published with the inclusion of the unfinished manuscript of this article.
