This manuscript in many ways began as a series of conversations between myself, Nikeeta Slade, Trish Kahle, and Crystal Stella Becceril in 2013 and 2014. All of us were comitted Marxists with anti-racist, anti-imperialist, feminist, queer, trans-inclusive, prison abolitionist politics, and we were searching for a way to bring contemporary intersectional frameworks to rework Marxism beyond the many reductionisms we had all found in writings of prominent Marxists and in the course of organizing on the left. I am forever grateful for the time, conversations, reading suggestions, call ins, and corrections from that time, and more than anything, for the ways in which they showed me and continue still to show me how to live, breathe, imagine, and think the possibi ities of another world.
