Most of this book uses the story of “Fred,” a fictional man and his family, to allow readers to understand the abuse and abusive situations that men can get into, and where it stems from. Fred’s experience will not be identical to the experiences you may have, or men that you know, but it will be similar. It is the situations around Fred’s life that will help you understand how abuse works and how to break the cycle of abuse. From this you may gain knowledge, get help for others, and even get healing for yourself.
