Название: HANDBOOK OF EFFECTIVE INCLUSIVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
Авторы: James McLeskey, Fred Spooner, Bob Algozzine
Аннотация:
This Handbook was a collective effort of many scholars with expertise in a range of critical areas that
are needed to support effective inclusive schools. We would like to thank the chapter authors for
working with us to complete this endeavor. We are especially grateful that they worked without
compensation so that all of the royalties from this Handbook could be used to support the work of
the Council for Exceptional Children. We also would like to thank others who provided us with
support as work on the Handbook progressed. In particular, we very much appreciate the support
provided by our editor at Routledge, Misha Kydd. Misha encouraged us to make substantial changes
in this second edition of the Handbook so that we could provide deeper coverage of the most
critical issues related to developing, supporting, and sustaining effective inclusive schools. She also
provided encouragement, support and direction as this project proceeded. As chapters were
completed, Olivia Powers at Routledge took over and did a fine job in moving these documents to
a final product. Many thanks for your support, Olivia. We would also like to thank anonymous
reviewers of the first edition of the Handbook who provided us with valuable feedback regarding
how we might improve this second edition, as well as anonymous reviewers of several chapters for
this edition who provided feedback. Finally, we would like to thank Lynette Beacher from the
University of Florida, who provided assistance to ensure the accuracy of references in several
chapters
