Most recently, Klaus Wetzig worked as Director of the Institute of Solid State Analytics and Structural Research at Leibniz-Institut fur Festkorper- und Werkstoffforschung Dresden. Bernd Schmidt acts as head of the Process Technology Division at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. Naturally, numerous specific results from their research groups enter the present volume.
