The Symposium on Turbulence was held at the Technische Universit~t Berlin during the week from August Ist to 5th 1977.
Its programme covered essentiallyall problems and trends of present day's basic turbulence research gravitatingparticularlyon questions of structure and related problems of scalar transport mechanisms and noise. Although it was realized that prediction methods and modelling are one of the main issues of turbulence research it was excluded from the programme, since it was felt that more would be less.
