This book is a compilation of the lectures delivered at the
International School on Defect Complexes in Semiconductor Structures held
in M~traf~red, Hungary, from September 13 to 17, 1982.
The school was attended by 105 experts from 15 countries and thus
offered ample proof of the actuality and importance of the topic. In
addition to the 16 invited lectures, 17 papers were presented and 30
Posters placed on exhibit. These proceedings contain the most
interesting of the contributed papers, some graphic material adapted from
the posters, and, of course, the invited papers. The novelty value of
the papers presented was the principal criterion for selection.
