The meeting was held at Karlovassi,Samos, Greece on September 5-7, 1994 inthe Department ofMathematics ofthe Universityofthe Aegean. Samos willbe known to many relativistsas the birthplace of Pythagoras and thismeeting promises to be the firstin a series. The meeting was attended by about thirtyparticipants,halffrom Greece and the remainder from countriesas diverseas the European Union, India,South Africaand the US.
