The aim of this book was to write a monograph on the essentials of quantum optical light and matter wave interferometry for first- or secondyear graduate students interested in eventually pursuing research in this area and for people interested in this field of research. A precondition is solely some basic knowledge of quantum mechanics and some knowledge of solid state physics.
