A workshop on Observational and Analytical Methods Relating to LargeScale Structures in the Universe was held in the Physik zentrum, Bad Honnef,
F.R. Germany, from December 9 to 12, 1987. The suggestion to bring together an international group for the discussion of current work and general topics on observational cosmology came from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, with the intent to further the exchange of ideas and experiences in a field which requires the handling of large amounts of data in both the observational and the theoretical approach.
