This new edition of Finite Generalized Quadrangles is in fact the first edition with an
Appendix on the developments in the field from 1984 on. This Appendix also contains
a list of references in which most of the literature on finite generalized quadrangles,
from 1984 on, can be found. The LATEX version of the new edition was made by the
authors and by J. Bamberg, L. Brouns, M. Brown, J. De Beule, F. De Clerck, T. De
Medts, E. Govaert, P. Govaerts, N. Hamilton, J. Schillewaert, S. Surmont and K. Thas.
