This book is the result of the
combined efforts of a large
and varied group of people.
Being Air Force oriented, we
were somewhat at a loss regarding
the history of the Skyraider in Navy
and Marine service, let alone the
use of the A-1 by foreign nations.
But a group of outstanding historians
gave us their blessing and their
help. Seems like everyone liked the
old SPAD, and wanted to make sure
the story of a propeller-driven aircraft
operating in two different jet
wars was told accurately.
