The September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks shocked the entire world—the scale of devastation
inflicted by this horrific attack still evokes a spine-chilling reaction today! More than a decade later,
the events on that day still impact us in various ways and at different levels—from our increased
awareness of the threat in our day-to-day lives to the augmented security measures, known and
unknown, that are in place to protect us. The recognition that the threat of terrorism can range
