The Afro-Asian Association of Petroleum Geochemists (AAAPG) successfully held the 6th International
Conference on Petroleum Geochemistry and Exploration in the Afro-Asian Region during October 12–
14 in Beijing. The conference was organized by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and
co-organized by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). 233 delegates from 23 countries of Asia, Africa,
Europe, North America and Australia participated in the conference and this conference was remarked as
a splendid meeting for the petroleum geochemistry domain in the Afro-Asian region.
