A few years ago I had the privilege of addressing a Congressional
Subcommittee on Technology and Procurement
Policy, chaired by Congressman Tom Davis. In addition
to examining GSA’s efforts to secure federal buildings,
the Subcommittee was interested in hearing and learning
about new physical security technology. When I leaf
through the pages of this book, I again realize the enormity
of the task undertaken by the Subcommittee, the
necessity for doing so, and the importance of this type of
information to not only security professionals, but now to
IT professionals as well.
