Аннотация:
We would like to thank the Elsevier Editorial staff Lisa Tickner, Erin Hill-Parks,
Tracey Miller, and especially Sujatha Thirugnana Sambandam for their support,
guidance, and in particular their patience to get this book published. We also thank
the prepress production team at MPS Limited, Chennai, for their support.
Each of us would like to thank our respective institutions for providing us not
only an academic home but also contact with engineering students who challenge
us on a daily basis as we tackle the task of instilling in them the importance of lifelong
learning. This book is dedicated to all engineering educators (teaching faculty
and librarians) who are continuously finding innovative ways to incorporate lifelong
learning skills into the curriculum.
Dr. Naimpally would like to thank his wife Shohba. Hema Ramachandran would
like to thank her husband Dr. R. Sethuraman who provided not only moral support
and guidance but also held the fort at home while she tackled the most challenging
project to date in her professional career. On a very personal note, it was indeed
thrilling that the book was edited in the city of her birth—Chennai. The world is
certainly flat!
Caroline Smith would like to thank Timothy Patrick Phillip Roberts, her darling
husband and biggest supporter—“I have learned so much from you.
