This book arises from a series of lectures in image restoration and tomography that we teach to students in computer science and physics at the University of
Genova. It is a course of approximately fifty one-hour lectures, supplemented
by about fifty hours of training with the computer devoted to the implementation
and validation of the principal methods presented in the lectures.
