The approach to the subject matter will be informal, practical and hands on. Most WROX books are code intensive and this book will be no exception, we'll provide full applications optimized and built for the Longhorn platform.

The proposed book will allow .NET programmer to achieve two goals:

* Upgrade their current Windows .NET applications to take advantage of Longhorn's new programming model, framework and architecture
* Create and deploy native Longhorn applications from scratch

Although the book will contain introductory text on Longhorn topics (since the technology is new to begin with), it will also assume the reader has a knowledge of basic .NET programming concepts such as threading, assemblies, CLR and Windows programming concepts like threading, memory management, process handling, etc.

The book will provide code in both C# and VB.NET. This will make the book appealing for a wide range of developers
