This issue of the

is dedicated to Dan Campbell, a true
friend of team physicians and many others who understood that the real
meaning of sports medicine was advocating for the best interest of the
athlete. Learning lessons of life from those that pass before us embodies
the bond of professional and personal friendships that keep us motivated to
do what we do. We will miss you Dan, but we will never forget your
