A collection of lecture notes based on lectures given at the Nankai Institute of Mathematics in the fall of 1998, the first in a series of such collections. Focuses on the work of the author and the late Chih-Han Sah, on aspects of Hilbert's Third Problem of scissors-congruency in Euclidian polyhedra.
