This book is intended as a text in set theory for advanced undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics. There are no formal mathematical prerequisites, but the student should have "mathematical maturity." Essentially, what this means here is that the student is not totally unfamiliar with mathematical abstractions, knows what a mathematical proof is, and can, if pressed, construct a proof himself.
