Prof. Yaglom's intention in rewriting "Monin and Yaglom" is 'to present a panoramic view of the state of turbulence research at the end of the 20th century', repeating the achievement of the original book thirty years ago. The first edition ran to over 1600 pages and the work of revision is lengthy. The Center for Turbulence Research will reproduce each chapter as it appears, in a new series of "CTR Monographs", so that readers will have a foretaste of the volumes to come...
