Mr Müller informed the Committee that the present meeting marked the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Committee, and that FAO and WHO had commissioned JECFA medals in silver and bronze to commemorate that important event and to acknowledge the contribution of the experts in the continued provision of international scientific advice.
