A billiard problem with boundary arcs that meet tangentially is studied both analytically and numerically. It is shown that the presence of tangential vertices leads to velocity correlations which decay like 1In where n is the number of collisions. This result contrasts with related billiard and Lorentz models where velocity correlations decay exponentially.
