This paper continues the author's study of procedures for rewriting the wellknown Chapman-Enskog expansion used in the kinetic theory of gases. The usual Chapman-Enskog expansion, when used in isothermal fluid motion, will introduce nonlinear instability at super-Burnett order O(E3) truncation. The procedure given here eliminates the truncation instability and produces the desired dissipation inequality.
