The purpose of this book is to investigate the cause of the sterility affecting scholastic metaphysics and to disclose the mistake on which its negativism toward the contemporary thinking of existential phenomenology is based. In doing this, we will make constant use of Heidegger's ideas. Nevertheless, this work should not be regarded as a book about Heidegger, for, as in our previous works, we want to philosophize in a relatively autonomous way.
