This book is divided into two parts. In Part A, which occupies about a fourth of the volume, 1 discuss how various spectroscopy experiments can be analyzed in terms of correlation funtions. In Part В, I deal with the stochastic theory calculation of these correlation functions. Each stochastic model is set op in the context of a physical process. The result of the calculation is then lied up with one of the experiments discussed in Part A.
