Tt has been observed often that the enormous expansion of science is a danger to human society. Gone are the days when any single person was able to claim a fair knowledge of the whole of science, or even only a branch, like physics. To-day, only the specialist has a chance to prosper—and even he is unable to weld his tiny piece of knowledge on to the whole of human experience.
