The JOURNAL OF APPLIED METEOROLOGY is a medium for the publication of research concerned with the application of the atmospheric sciences to operational and practical goals. It is published quarterly by the American Meteorological Society. The full range of applications to safety, health, the economy, and the general well-being of the human community is covered. Articles which are basically knowledge-oriented, rather than applications-oriented, are published in the Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences.
