This book was conceived during a discussion among a group of persons who have been concerned for some years with the dual problems of the development and application of the Theory of Games of Strategy. While their immediate and primary interest has been applications pertinent to military affairs—particularly to those of the Air Force— their tangential interests in these problems are broad, practically without limit.
