Starting with the basics of how Jini enabled devices join a Jini network and then how, after that, Jini enabled devices can use the Jini lookup service to see what the all the attached devices in a Jini network can do. Author Biography: Jan Newmarch teaches in the Department of Information Science and Engineering at the University of Canberra, Australia. He is a well-known figure in the Java and Jini community and has served on numerous Sun advisory boards.
