NOTAS DE MATEMATICA were published in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil
since 1948 by Faculdade Nacional de Filosofia, Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas
Fisicas and Instituto de Matematica Pura e Aplicada, respectively. Starting
from volume 48, the series is being published by North-Holland, Amsterdam,
Netherlands. I wish to express my thanks to Einar Fredriksson for his
interest in the continuation of the series.
